Now that you've experienced the power of Chat Ur Data on public data, let's get it hooked up to your data!

Step 1: Pick a Data Source to Connect

From the main chat screen, select one of these data source types or click 'More Options'.

Step 2: Enter your Data Source Credentials

Depending on the data source type you choose there are different forms of credentials, but most involve creating a service account or api token that Chat Ur Data can use to connect to the source.

When you input data source credentials into Chat Ur Data, we securely store them in an encrypted key store and only use them behind our API to connect to your data.

Step 3: Chat Ur Data Automatically Trains on your First 10 Tables

After successfully connecting, Chat Ur Data will retrieve the structure of the first 10 tables it finds in your data source. Based on the structure of those tables (meaning the table name, column names, and column data types) Chat Ur Data AI will generate embeddings that help AI understand the contents of the data.

You can add and remove tables as needed from the 'Trained' set via the control panel on the main chat screen:

The Set of 'Trained' tables is what Chat Ur Data AI can see when you are chatting with it, so choose this list carefully. You can use the search to find specific tables that you want Chat Ur Data to understand.
